Shawn-A-Palooza

It just so happened that Kevin's best friend (and Best Man) turned 30 the weekend after our wedding. Since this is such a momentous event, he decided to forgo a simple one day celebration and turned his birthday into a week long event....called Shawn-A-Palooza. Itofficially began Sunday, September September 28th and kicked off with homemade pizzas on the grill! Since we liked the previous pizza dough recipe I posted so much, we just used the same one!

We had so much fun with all our amazing friends. We were so sad to see them go. If only we could get everyone to live in the same place, or even the same area code......honestly, at this point, I'd settle for the same time zone - lol! :)

Thinking of the Bayou

Like many other Americans, I have been thinking about the Gulf Coast a lot lately. I'm really worried about everyone down there. Kevin and I are praying for them! In honor of New Orleans (and the Gulf Coast), I decided to make a Po' Boy Sandwich for dinner.

Since I didn't have any tartar sauce I made some using this recipe. That's really the only thing I *made.* I spread the tartar sauce on a small french baguette and then piled the fish, tomatoes, and spinach. It was pretty tasty!

unOfficial Last Day of Summer

Since today was the official last day of summer than I guess that this was my unofficial last meal of the summer. I just can't believe it's already September! Where did the summer go? Without a doubt this was one of the best summer's of my life! I absolutely loved my internship and can't wait to be working as an RN! Ok, enough of my tangent... Hope everyone has enjoyed their Summer!!
