The Great Date Experiment

A while ago, Kevin and I heard about The Great Date Experiment and thought it would be fun to try! Have you heard of it?!? Well, if not, please click here to learn about it. Kevin and I love it and have had so much fun! We can't wait to do the next one!! We are just so happy there are so many to do!!

....There are kinda of some secrets that go along with this experiment that I don't want to give away so I will just post some of our pictures....if you decide to do the experiment yourself or if you have done this experiment, the pictures will, of course, make more sense. ;) Here's some pics of us on date #2

It was kinda raining on and off during our date, what a blessing that we saw this rainbow on our way home
Not the best picture, but still, very pretty

I highly recommend these dates!! Kevin and I had a great time and are looking forward to the other dates in this experiment!!

Our 1st House Guests!

After his sister's wedding, Kevin's parents decided it was time to take a trip - they chose to do a little round trip to the Midwest...to see us!!

Ok, so I didn't get any pictures of them or us or us with them. Very weird for me, I'm really not myself when it comes to picture-taking lately. BUT, I did get some great pics of this amazing chapel we visited while they were here.

The Chapel

Neat view of the facade

I found this stone in the Chapels' garden and thought this was such an inspiring verse
“Where God’s love is, there is no fear, because God’s perfect love takes away fear. “

1 John 4:18

Due to the pretty cold and rainy weather we didn't really have the opportunity to do any other sight-seeing. We just kinda hung out at the our new house, cooked and talked....your basic family-fun type of stuff! ;) We had a great time with them and can't wait until their next visit!!

Seattle!

During the 1st week of May, Kevin went to Seattle for business so....I came up to join him for the weekend. We had a great time! The weather was a little on the cool side and, of course, it rained a bit - but, that's whatcha get when you visit Seattle in the Spring. ;)

We really enjoyed this trip, we've both been working a ton and it was really great to be able to spend some time together....not to mention, we absolutely love traveling together.

I used to live in Mount Vernon, Washington and my Grandpa still lives in Seattle but, it was Kevin's 1st time in Seattle and I was really excited to be able to re-discover the city with him!

Our first stop of the day was to Pike's Peak Market
I think we have a pretty great Farmer's Market in Omaha but, wow, this Farmer's Market is just fabulous!

After our short stroll around the Farmer's Market, we were both in need of some coffee....good thing we were in Seattle, perfect place to get an amazing cup of coffee. So naturally, we made our way here....
The Original Starbucks!!!

I *heart* Starbucks, so for me, this was kinda like meeting a celebrity....you'll know what I mean if you have the same deep feelings about Starbucks...
Do you see the excitement?!?

Then we headed back to the flower section of the Farmer's Market (where I wanted to buy every single flower and take them back to the Midwest with me!!) to hang out until it was time to meet up with...

.....my Grandpa!!
I just love my Grandpa! I so wish he lived closer! But, I think he's pretty crazy about Seattle and is never going to leave.

Grandpa took us to his favorite Seattle spots
Pretty unique view of Seattle's the Space Needle...love all the trees!!

We took this picture from a neighborhood park where Grandpa once lived
Love all the ships!

We had the most wonderful time with my Grandfather, he is such an amazing man and has been such a great role model for us!

....Couldn't resist throwing in this pic....it's us dancing at my wedding
Just LOVE this picture!! I feel so blessed that our photographer was able to capture so many special moments

The morning we left, we decided to grab one last cup of coffee from this place....

Even though this was a just a quick 3 day trip, it was such a great, much needed, get-a-way and I'm soooo glad we were able to do it! Since my Grandfather lives here, I know we will be back soon!
